Andrew Kocsis (Valentine/Antonio)
Andrew’s connection with Shakespeare WA goes back to Romeo and Juliet (2011), where he created the educational materials for students to connect with the production. He is a lecturer at Murdoch University, where he is also currently completing a PhD in the adaptation of Shakespeare’s plays for young audiences. Andrew is the Artistic Director of The Revellers, a theatre group that takes such Shakespearean productions to schools. His recent productions have included adaptations of Much Adoe about Nothing, Twelfth Night and a recent tour of The Tempest to schools in Victoria. This is Andrew’s first appearance on stage for Shakespeare WA.
